This week of funding represents an interesting microcosm of the different approaches being taken to at-home wellness.

These tend to include at least one of the following:

  • At-home diagnostics

  • Automated services replacing jobs done by people

  • Services performed by people remotely, at scale that were previously in-person

  • Novel remote technologies that are beginning in the remote age

Companies attempting all four of these models were funded in the last seven days, showing that there is a clear demand for these models and a willingness to fund them. What does this mean and how can you begin to assess which ones have staying power?

The answer to both of these questions may lie in the next generation of holistic employee benefits programs. With the potential to act as a nexus for distribution & market validation of certain products/services and a vehicle for investors to index this movement without picking a single horse, up-and-coming holistic benefits programs deserve the attention of providers and investors alike.

With that out of the way, here's what happened last week:

Closing Kernel of Wisdom

“Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual’s conscious life, the blacker and denser it is. At all counts, it forms an unconscious snag, thwarting our most well-meant intentions.” (Carl Jung)

You got to the end! Nice. Feel free to forward this to anyone that may appreciate it. I'll give them a button below to put them on the list:
